Is Academic Coaching something for you?

ACADEMIC COACHING

An Academic Coach is someone who is there to support your overall success as a student. The ways an Academic Coach can help include:

  • Building on academic skills such as time managementstudy tipsexam prepnote-taking methods, and strategies to improve your motivation
  • Teaching you how to navigate your courses in talon
  • Helping understand college policies and expectations
  • Working on goal setting and accountability
  • Providing information and connection to any resources or needed support services
  • Listening to any concerns that you may have, then proactively helping to problem solve and find solutions
  • Meeting on a regular basis for progress check-ins and ongoing support throughout the semester as needed
