Your Eagle card is your library card. Most library materials can be checked out for three weeks, however reference and reserve items must be used in the library. Magazines and journals can be checked out for seven days. Renewals are available.
On the Cedar Rapids library's first floor, you will find the following sections:

- Academic research books, arranged by Dewey Decimal number. Books may be requested by chatting with a librarian, who will retrieve the books you request and place them at the checkout desk for you to pickup.
At the Iowa City Campus Library you will find:
- Reserve items behind the service desk
- All other items are on the alcove shelving or the main book shelves. These include:
