Credo Information Literacy Sample

A way to get a basic idea about what you do with our Credo Information Literacy Subscription.

Introduction

Recently Kirkwood Library Services has been working to create modules that you can embed into your Talon course framework. Our active module is on Plagiarism. We'd begun work on more, but discovered how time intensive they could be. So we took the chance of getting a year's subscription to Credo InfoLit.

This purchased system can be inserted into your Talon. Text, quizzes, etc. can be edited at the library level. For each course you can decide how much you want to include at the section level, you can use or exclude text, videos, and quizzes. You can do this by permalink, embedding, or as an object in Talon. Using the Talon object for your quizzes means the results can be fed directly into your grade book, but the other individual parts can be connected any of those 3 ways. It's entirely up to you which sections you use and which things you don't.

We've added links to several sections of one of the modules below. You'll have to log in through our Proxy Server with your k-number and password in order to access any of the material linked below. Explore and see what you think.

Contact the library reference desk if you have any questions. For more information and detailed how to check out the Credo Lit Tutorials section in our Faculty Services LibGuide.
