Memoirs

This guide will describe what a memoir is, and it will give information about a variety of memoirs available in the Kirkwoood Library collection.

Grief, Death, Overcoming Adversity

This category includes memoirs about grief, death, and overcoming adversity.  Some were written by people living through health crisis leading to death or near death. Some are written by people grieving a loss - of a loved one or of something in their own life.  This category also includes memoirs written by people that have survived and overcome a wartime experience such as surviving a holocaust or being forced to become a soldier as a young child. If you don't see what you're looking for, search the catalog or talk to a librarian. If we don't have what you're looking for, we might be able to borrow or purchase something for you.
