This guide provides the link to the website allowing you to print from your own device, as well as provides you with step-by-step instructions for doing so.
*Note: Secure webpages, or documents from websites that require a sign in cannot be printed from. In order to print a document from a site such as Talon or Google Drive, you will need to save the document to your device and print from there (see PYOD Step by Step Guide to Printing a Saved Document).*
Go to the website at https://print.kirkwood.edu and enter your K-number and password for Username and Password.
Click the "Web Print" tab at the top of the page.
In the space provided, enter the web address of the page that you want to print (most easily done by copying and pasting the address in your web browser) and click the Green "Next>>" button.
After clicking the "Next>>" button from step 3 above, a table will open. Under the "Status" column, the system will state "Awaiting Processing." This is normal and can take several seconds depending on the size of the webpage to be printed.
Next, you will need to "release" your document to the indicated printer. The Status will change to Awaiting release and a button with the printer name will appear below. If you want your document printed on the front of each page only, click the button. If you want to modify how the document will be printed, click the "Advanced" box and follow step 5a below.
5a. After clicking the "Advanced" box, you can indicate how many copies you would like to print, a specific page range and whether you want your printed document to be double-sided. Once you have selected all the features you need, click the printer name button as described in step 5 above.
