Kirkwood academic course exams

Kirkwood Test Center administers exams by appointment only. Please follow these instructions to schedule an appointment.

Accessing RegisterBlast

  1. Log into Talon.
  2. Navigate to your course.
  3. Along the top toolbar, click Student Tools. Then click Test Center/RegisterBlast.
  4. If you don't see your exams listed on your RegisterBlast student dashboard, click Please view the full exam list to schedule.

Navigating the drop-down menus

Menu Instructions
Where do you want to take your exam? Select Cedar Rapids (Main Campus Test Center) or Coralville (KRCUI Test Center). Please note that not all exams are offered at all Test Center locations.
Choose a group Select Kirkwood academic course exams.

Choose a course prefix
Choose a course number
Choose a course section

 Filter through the available exams by selecting your course prefix, number, and section.
Choose an exam Select your exam.
Select accommodations If you have approved accommodations, select which accommodations you would like to use.
If you don't have approved accommodations, you won't see this section.
Choose a date Click an available date on the calendar. If a date is greyed out, it is not available.
Choose a time Select an available appointment time.
Who is taking this exam Your first name, last name, and Kirkwood email address should pre-fill in the fields. Complete any additional information requested.
Test Center rules Read our rules and tick the box to agree to them.

Finalizing your appointment

You must complete these steps for your registration to be complete.

  1. Click Add to cart.
  2. On the next page, click Complete registration.
  3. On the next page, you will see [Name], your registration is complete! You will also receive an email confirmation.

All other exams

Kirkwood Test Center administers exams by appointment only. Please follow these instructions to schedule an appointment.

  1. Click here to access RegisterBlast, Kirkwood Test Center's online scheduling tool.

  • Cedar Rapids (Main Campus Test Center)
  • Coralville (KRCUI Test Center)
  • Remotely proctored (Virtual Test Center)

Choose a group
Choose an exam		 Select All other exams for a full list of available exams. Filter through the available exams to find what you're looking for.
Select accommodations If you have approved accommodations, select which accommodations you would like to use.
If you don't have approved accommodations, you won't see this section.
Choose a date Click an available date on the calendar. If a date is greyed out, it is not available.
Choose a time Select an available appointment time.
Who is taking this exam? Enter your first name, last name, and email address in the spaces provided. Complete all other required fields.
Test Center rules Read our rules and tick the box to agree to them.

  1. Click Add to cart.
  2. On the next page, click Complete Registration or Ready to Checkout.
  3. If your exam requires a fee, enter your payment information on the next page and click Purchase Exams.
  4. On the next page, you will see [Name], your registration is complete! You will also receive an email confirmation.
