Most of the places that Laura Ingalls Wilder lived now has a museum in her honor. Many of these produce a newsletter and have built an archive. See a list of contact information for the various sites below. The bulk of the Rose Wilder Lane/ Rose Wilder Lane papers reside in the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch, Iowa. They were donated to the archive because Rose Wilder Lane was the first biographer of Herbert Hoover. Be sure to also check the William Holtz collection of papers that he used in his Lane research. Additional materials are held by the Laura Ingalls Wilder/Rose Wilder Lane Museum in Mansfield, Missouri and the Western Historical Manuscript Collection in Columbia, Missouri. Most of the WHMA Wilder-Lane collection has been microfilmed and the film is available for rental. Additional materials were gifted during the women's lifetime including donations to the Laura Ingalls Wilder children's room of the Pomona Public Library in Pomona, California and Laura Ingalls Wilder Branch Library in Detroit, Michigan.
