ERP in Higher Education: Home

A research request from Kirkwood Community College IT, Spring 2014

The research question

What Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems exist and are currently being used in higher education or community colleges specifically? Are there examples/case studies/published research that have roadmaps for acquiring and implementing an ERP in higher ed? Are there comparisons of ERPs for the higher ed market, particularly comparisons that deal with cloud-based services and software as a service (SAAS) models/tools? Finally, any research that uses the Magic Quadrant methodology from Gartner is of particular interest. Material as old as 2000 may be OK. Seeking vendor names too - known ones include:

Alliant
Blackbaud
Campus Management
Ellucian (some articles refer to SunGard Higher Education - this is now part of Ellucian)
Jenzabar
Oracle
SAP
Three Rivers
Unit 4
